Science, and modern approach to reasoning, has a strange way of influencing people and entire societies. We all benefit from the advancements in science, regardless of what we believe in (or don't).

But then, there are those who have attempt to stop time and human progress and instead "prefer" to live in the Middle Ages.   Those who have done this seldom fit in the modern world and are often able to survive only because of the compassion that we have for them -- "compassion" that we often give away without concerning ourselves with the fact that the followers of the Middle Ages Theology type of reasoning actually hate us and wish us dead.

There are bright people around the world and here is at least one from an Islamic society ... the picture he paints is devastating and unless we all understand the ramifications of what he is talking about there will be a lot of suffering to come as a result of the clash between Theology and rational thinking.

Read This (!!!) ... it comes from a scientist, professor who cares and desires to bring his people to the world, a world we all take for granted --- yes Earth is not flat.  For 2006 the entire Islamic world has produced less scientific papers than Brazil, but what they have produced more than anyone else is terrorists. Strange, but here it goes.
